A patrol on the ground sees one street at a time. From above, the whole area is visible at once — over walls, between houses, across ground no vehicle can cross quickly. That view is the difference between responding to a report and arriving already knowing what is there.

One press. No phone to unlock, no address to describe, no explaining where you are while it is happening. The device carries the location, so the person wearing it does not have to.

Trained personnel monitor incoming information and coordinate with the appropriate partners where that applies. Technology helps identify information that may need human attention; a person decides what happens next.

How the centre operates is not published, and will not be. That is not evasion — a procedure that is public is a procedure that can be planned around.

Technology doesn't solve crime. People do.

Local structures decide how this is used in their township, what is acceptable and what is not. Nothing is installed over a community's head. Without that agreement the rest of it has no legitimacy — and no chance of lasting.

  • Privacy

    Footage covers public space. It is handled under POPIA, held encrypted, and shared only with authorised officials.

  • Evidence

    Recorded material can assist an investigation or a judicial process, so that what happened can be shown rather than only described.

  • Human judgement

    Technology helps identify information that may need human attention. A person decides what happens next, every time.

  • Restraint

    Locations, infrastructure and methods are never published. Protecting a township means protecting what keeps it protected.
